Formalities after the admission
After your nomination has been received by HEC Lausanne, you will receive by e-mail the link to the online application as well as information about your exchange. As soon as we receive your registration, the Social Affairs and Student Mobility Office (SASME) of UNIL will contact you for all questions related to visas, residence permits, accommodation, insurance, grants, etc.
You are not required to pass any language proficiency test. A minimum level of B2 according to the "Common European Framework of Reference for Languages" is expected in French and/or English depending on the language of instruction of the courses you attend.
You may take one or two courses at HEC Lausanne but most courses must be taken at the faculty/school where you are registered.
Please note that there is a risk of overlapping with the exam dates of HEC Lausanne. The exam dates scheduled by HEC Lausanne cannot be changed under any circumstances. One solution is, for example, to take an exam at the retake session.
For more information, please contact Inès Rosati: email@example.com
If you are not regularly registered in one of our partner universities, you can come and study at HEC Lausanne as a Free Mover student, on the condition that you are registered in a Faculty of Management or Economics at university level. As HEC Lausanne welcomes many exchange students from partner universities, only a small percentage of Free Mover students are accepted. A strong eliminatory selection takes place after each registration deadline.
HEC Lausanne does not accept Free Mover students from partner universities.
As a Free Mover, you cannot take courses at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) or at other UNIL faculties. You will also not receive a degree from HEC Lausanne.
Administrative Fees, in case of refusal, the registration fee of CHF 200.- is not refundable
You must submit the following documents when you register online:
- Letter of motivation
- Curriculum Vitae
- All transcripts from your university studies
- Certificate from your university confirming academic recognition of a semester or year as a guest student
European students can make an internship in Switzerland, even if Switzerland does not participate in Erasmus+ any more. Interns receive a scholarship financed by the Swiss government through the SEMP Programme.
